Empowering a mission-driven manufacturer through authentic storytelling and strategic design
Alphapointe is a nonprofit that provides training and employment for people who are blind or visually impaired. I was asked to assemble a writer/designer team to create B2B product sell sheets for their manufacturing division—improving marketplace presentation while staying true to their mission-driven brand.
Our first assignment was the B3 Aviator Pen. After confirming with a military pilot that it is indeed a preferred pen among fighter pilots, we built the creative strategy around that authentic story. I guided the visual direction and designed layouts that combined technical detail with brand narrative.
The success of the B3 sell sheet led to an expanded partnership covering print, digital, display, packaging, and publication materials, including the Annual Impact Report, Digital Catalog, KCVP Trifold, additional sell sheets, flyers, packaging redesigns, and campaign assets.
This work elevated product credibility and reinforced Alphapointe’s broader mission—demonstrating how strategic design and authentic storytelling can strengthen both brand perception and social impact.
